About Me
I’m Jim Damask.
Most of my professional life has been spent working in fast-moving markets, where things change quickly and you’re constantly adapting. But over time, I realized that what matters most isn’t just how you perform in those environments—it’s how you stay grounded while doing it.
This space is about that balance.
Outside of work, I focus on living a healthy, active life. Yoga, surfing, and time outdoors aren’t just hobbies—they’re how I reset, stay clear-headed, and keep perspective when everything else speeds up.
The ocean, especially, has a way of simplifying things. You can’t control it, you can’t rush it—you just learn to read what’s in front of you and respond. That mindset carries into everything else.
Travel has also played a big role in shaping how I see the world. Being in different places, experiencing different cultures, and stepping outside your normal routine builds a kind of perspective that’s hard to get any other way.
But more than anything, being a father has changed how I think about life.
I’m a dad to a 13-year-old daughter, and that brings everything into focus. It shifts your priorities, makes you think long-term, and reminds you that showing up consistently matters more than anything else.
This site is where I share that side of life—health, travel, surfing, yoga, and fatherhood. It’s not about doing everything perfectly. It’s about staying present, building balance, and keeping perspective in a world that doesn’t slow down.
If there’s a common thread through all of it, it’s this:
Stay grounded. Stay active. Stay connected to what actually matters.
